The Beacon: Male Athlete of the Week 1/23-1/28 Why Tommy Bowen was selected: Tommy Bowen had a great week on the court, coming off the bench, energizing his team with double digit points in both games this week including a team high 14 points against Delaware Valley. Bowen’s play helped top the Cougars in overtime Wednesday and spark a comeback win over the Aggies on Saturday. Congratulations, Tommy!

Hopes for this season as a Colonel?

To strive to be the best i can be and as a team our goal coming into the season was to make the MAC playofs and win a MAC championship.

When/Why did you first begin playing?

I got into basketball as early as i was walking. My whole family has always been a basketball family and i had a love for the game. My brothers all played and my dad coached basketball at my school district my entire life.

Favorite thing to do during practice?

Water breaks.

Wakeboarding, boating, haning with family and friends.

My brothers.
