Meet the Majors: Criminology

Every week, The Beacon will offer a chance for majors to be placed in the spotlight. Each student that gets chosen will have a few words to express why they chose the major and how they feel it will benefit them in the future.

Sarah states that “I’m a criminology major because I want to change the policies behind our criminal justice system.”

Paige states that “I’m a criminology major because there’s a lot that I can do in the field, and it’s very interesting to study.”

Matthew states that “I became a criminology major because I want to help people that can’t help themselves”.

Gabrielle states that she “chose to be a criminology major because it gave me an opportunity to help people who can’t help themselves and who are the most vulnerable people in our society.”
