“Wait a minute, Doc. Ah… Are you telling me that you built a time machine… out of a DeLorean?”
Nov. 5 is a significant date for “Back to the Future” fans. In fact, Nov. 5, 1955 is the date in which Marty McFly, played by Michael J. Fox, travels in the DeLorean and Doc, played by Christopher Lloyd, conceived the idea for the “flux capacitor”. Doc sets the date in the time machine to Nov. 5 1955 to show exactly how the time machine functioned and Marty of course is able to experience time travel phenomena for a week before returning on Nov 12.
Fun fact about “Back to the Future”: When the script writers were completing research on scientific terms for the project, the term “jigowatt”was intended to be “gigawatt”, a million watts, but hearing the term mispronounced, writers placed it in the script incorrectly and so it remained through the films production.
