SG Notes: College Democrats; Casino week
On Wednesday, Wilkes University’s Student Government held its weekly meeting.
Two representatives from the Education Club gave their annual report. Club members are selling T-shirts so they can raise money for the Jared Project, which gives boxes with coloring books, crayons, markers and toys to children in hospitals. Members also will give boxes to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
In addition, the Education Club is working with Heights Murray Elementary School by collecting box tops around campus. All money from the box tops will go directly to Heights Murray. There are boxes in the lounge on the second floor of Breiseth and at the Information Desk in the SUB.
A representative from the College Democrats came to discuss bringing the club back on campus and making it active again. The club is an affiliate of the College Democrats of America. The club will be very active with campaigns and connecting with the community. The updated constitution will be discussed and voted on next week.
