The Wilkes University theater department debuted its production of “Little Women: The Musical” on Friday, Feb. 17. The show also on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 18 and 19, and will run again this weekend, on Feb. 24, 25 and 36.
The production stars Cierra Cellerari as Jo, a headstrong girl growing up in Civil War-era Massachusetts who yearns for a career as a writer. Along with her sisters, Meg, Amy and Beth, played by Kelly Pleva, Kayla Carney and Nicole Weaver respectively, Jo encounters love and hardship in this coming-of-age tale based on the novel of the same name by Louisa May Alcott.
